Alamac American Has History Of Knitting Quality Circular Knit Fabric

Alamac was founded in 1946 with a partnership agreement between Mac Thal and Alan Kaplan. The first names of the partners, Alan and Mac, were used to form the name - "ALAMAC".

Alamac's existence began with a handful of knitting machines in a small rented building in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts. Over the years, Alamac has expanded to its present day, 415,000 square foot multi-process textile complex in Lumberton, North Carolina. Exceptional quality and service have led Alamac to become a trusted source of circular knit fabric for the apparel industry.

Alan and Mac built the company's foundation for success on two basic principles:
